About

You are The Expert

Each one of us have a unique combination of personality, culture, and experiences. You get yourself more than anyone, so it is important for therapy to be tailored to who you are and what you need.

“Courtney has no shortage of solutions to become a better human and no shortage of patience for the time it takes to develop those skills.”

More than just talking

While talk therapy has it’s place, sometimes alternative interventions can unlock something that helps your process move faster. Taking action steps, tapping into your energy, and strengthening your intuition can crack you wide open rather than the slowly chip away to find meaning.

Along with EMDR and Reiki, I like to offer many different options to shake things up. While these are by no means requirements, you might find yourself intringuied by your options!

Experiential

These are sessions where we do something outside the office, creating new experiences that are therapuetic. Like exploring a new style to express yourself at a thrift store, releasing anger in a rage room, or going on a hike to notice what limitating thoughts come up for you. Sometimes an action moment like this helps you grow faster than just talking.

Movement

These practices help you understand your body and energy in a deeper way. Your mind can do so much work to get better, and sometimes an energy release is all you need to help your body catch up and catapult you forward. Your nervous system needs a sweet sense of relief, let's cultivate patterns that support this need. Examples include stretching, dance, punching and pushing things, and whatever somatic movements feel intuitive to you.

Intuition and Spirituality

All woo-woo talk is safe in this space. If you would like to learn your astrology, how to use card decks, pendulums, how to work with moon cycles, and other tools to grow your intuitive abilities, I am here for it and am happy to share what I know! I offer quick tarot readings as check outs for a session, as well as setting intentions and practicing gratitude.

more About Me

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 25, and everything started to make sense.

Why I felt so different, why I struggled behind closed doors, why I couldn’t seem to pursue my goals. Before that, I was pulling myself up by my boot-straps and operating under an exhausting mask. This led to living with depression as a norm, cups of social anxiety, and dashes of cringe memories.

Through my own EMDR journey, I was able to let go of the shameful beliefs of feeling like a failure and that I would never be truly understood. While that doesn’t make my ADHD go away, it definitely takes the edge off. Through learning what I need and how to give myself grace, I have been able to help fellow neurodivergents cope and harness the power that can come with a beautiful mind.

Along that journey I also became inspired by spiritual and intuitive concepts, and have found ways to weave that into my approach to therapy. It has been inspiring to see what happens when I follow my intuition, and even more thrilling to support others in finding their own.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy hula hooping, singing, dancing, practicing yoga, writing, and spending time with my partner and our two sons. They are my reminders to stay present and have some fun every once and a while!
